Cedar Breaks is a natural amphitheater that sits on the top of the Colorado Plateau. The amphitheater's rim is at an altitude of 10,000 feet and has a depth of over 2000 feet.
With the amphitheater facing west, photographing this location at sunset is a must. After the sun sets, the direct sunlight's deep shadows give way, and the sandstone begins to glow with deep oranges, reds and purples.
As the amphitheater is over 3 miles across the only way to truly capture this awe-inspiring location is to take a panoramic photograph. Keith Peters
