Cedar Breaks Sunset Panoramic from Cedar Breaks National Monument
Cedar Breaks is a natural amphitheater that sits on the top of the Colorado Plateau. The amphitheater's rim is at an altitude of 10,000 feet and has a depth of over 2000 feet. With the amphitheater facing west, photographing this location at sunset is necessary. After the sun sets, the direct sunlight's deep shadows give way, and the sandstone begins to glow with deep oranges, reds, and purples.
