The Narrows 2 - Zion National Park
For millions of years, the Virgin River has been carving its way through layers of rock, forming The Narrows Zion National Park. This canyon twists and turns for miles creating one of the most unique hiking trails in the world.
The canyon is so narrow the hike is basically walking up the Virgin River means that in many places, you have to either wade or swim to proceed, all while walking on rounded river rocks. The Virgin River has sculpted dramatic shapes in the canyon wall. As the canyon walls soar above you, direct sunlight rarely makes it to the canyon floor. This subdued light allows you to use long shutter speeds; this produces a silky water effect. This effect, combined with the walls' color, makes this one the best shooting location on earth.
