Speckled Texas Longhorn Steer taken at Superstition Wilderness, Arizona
We spotted this Speckled Texas Longhorn Steer during an early morning drive along Peralta Road south of the Superstition Mountains.
The steer is very interested in Teresa as she stepped out of our truck to get this photo. The early morning light cast a glow on the landscape, including the steer's long horns.
Texas Longhorn calves are a unique cattle breed originating in the southern United States. They are known for their distinctive long, curved horns reaching up to six feet long.
