Fairy Duster Photo at Bartlett Lake, Arizona
Fairy duster (Calliandra eriophylla) is a small shrub that is native to Mexico and parts of Central and South America.
These fairy duster flowers entranced me. Their delicate, fluffy pink blooms are a true desert gem.
I photographed them at Bartlett Lake, Arizona, where spring brings an abundance of vibrant wildflowers.
I love that I discovered them thriving in the desert. Yet, they also flourish everywhere in gardens in the Sonoran desert area.
Choosing native plants for your landscape is always a win, and this one is both striking and unique.
Pink flowers symbolize love, compassion, and gratitude—what a beautiful way to bring those qualities into your home or workplace!
