Vulture Mine Ghost Town School Playground
The old schoolhouse at Vulture Mine ghost town is a fascinating piece of history. It was once the center of education for the miners' children who worked in the nearby mine.
The miners working at Vulture Gold Mine prided themselves on building a town to support their families. So when they built the schoolhouse, they also invested in playground equipment. The mine closed in 1945, and the school was abandoned.
During our visit, the swings are in good shape, and the ground under them is clear of any plants. So are the ghosts of the children that attended this school still going out to play?
