Cowboy and Horse at Bar V Bar Ranch
Keith was so patient posing for us even as he looked into the sun, resulting in a fantastic photograph of him as the ultimate cowboy.
The V Bar V Ranch held a fantastic event for our Arizona Professional Photographers Association, which was a dream come true for all of us.
The entire ranch was so gorgeous. The cowboys posed for us, herded the cattle, and did much of their routine, allowing us to photograph everything! We all felt like we were in paradise. They still herd with horses since part of the trail to the lower elevation grazing is very narrow, allowing only horses and cattle.
Then Keith and his Dad, who also worked on the ranch, made us a complete chuckwagon dinner like the cowboys would have eaten long ago, including biscuits and dessert cooked in Dutch ovens over the campfire. It was simply amazing!
It was so incredible and delightful and something we will never forget.
Keith is currently the Director of the V Bar V Ranch and has been able to work on ranches most of his life.
The V Bar V Ranch was purchased/gifted in 1995 by The University of Arizona to research wildlife, environmental, and domestic animal solutions for ranch life.
