This is a close-up photograph of Mummy Cave, taken at sunset. Mummy Cave is at the end of Canyon del Muerto, the left fork of Canyon de Chelly.
The ruin takes its name from two mummified bodies, still wrapped in yucca plant fiber, found by an archeological expedition in 1882. Keith Peters
